and their Republican puppets.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

WASHINGTON (AP) — The State Department has greenlighted an emergency $138 million in foreign military sales for Ukraine to provide critical repairs and spare parts for Kyiv’s Hawk missile systems.

The HAWK is a medium range surface-to-air missile system that provides air defense, which is one of Ukraine’s top security needs.

“Maintaining and sustaining the HAWK Weapon System will enhance Ukraine’s ability to defend its people and protect critical national infrastructure.”

During a Capitol Hill hearing Tuesday, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said without the support — the U.S. risks that Ukraine will fall to Russia.

If Kyiv falls, it could imperil Ukraine’s Baltic NATO member neighbors and potentially drag U.S. troops into a prolonged European war.

The State Department said the parts needed to repair the systems will come from U.S. Army stock, third-country donations, commercial off-the-shelf components and new production.

So given the absurd cost of missiles and military equipment in general, that can't be more than what, a few missiles?

Article implies it's less of new stuff, and more parts to repair current missile defense system.

Which makes sense why it's critical. Ability to prevent more apartment buildings being turned to rubble is probably top of the list.

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. That's what I get for lazily reading the headline, lol
