Is this a super misleading picture or is it true that "compostable" takeaway containers (that what this looks like contain these chemicals?

My brother always says "Only because it's organic and compostable doesn't mean it's not poisonous and bad for the environment". Which I know is true since in lots of places compostable packaging is still allowed to have a percentage of plastic in it.
