Welcome to our virtual third place, The Café.

Come on in and make a new human connection over a cup of coffee (or Teh Tarik). This is a casual community, do whatever you want, share your oyen pics, your frustrations, and even organize a weekend picnic with the community. The world is your oyster.

Rules are simple, be kind and civil with each other. As with any other café, rude patrons will be kicked out.

Next time if I go to Genting I’ll stay here

Clickbait-y title/opening aside, this is a fascinating place that’s so much more than “it’s creepy/haunted”. People LIVE here. There’s a community inside with shops and barbers and all that.

@rakyat @cafe I've stayed there for 3 months while doing my undergrad/ masters thesis on Highland carrion flies.

Half the time I probably smelled like a corpse, so I didn't have any supernatural encounters.

@rakyat @cafe I do have one ghost story about that place. But my phone battery is low now.

@ubi No worries, ghost story can wait @cafe

@ubi
So I’d assume you were looking for dead animals in the forest?

@rakyat @cafe I was placing the dead animals or bait there and trapping flies and beetles.

@rakyat @cafe Still waiting for someone to pay me to stay at a 'haunted' place.
Try looking up property listings of so-called haunted places. They still go for millions.

@jkn In Japan some people look for places where people died recently. @cafe

I'm concerned about the liquefied remains of the recently deceased soaking into the house more than any hauntings. Those can actually harbour pathogens.

@ruk_n_rul There are apparently companies and volunteers who specialize in cleaning a house after deaths. I’ve a bit of a morbid curiousity so I know how messy dead bodies can be, lol. @cafe
