Really cute with some dark mysteries lurking under the surface. I love the cast and all the weird yokai stuff going on in the village, though I feel like we're supposed to already be pretty familiar with japanese folklore, which I am not, lol. I'm excited to see where this is going.

The nekomata is calico and male. Youkai are weirder than I thought.

I think it's fun when authors write male calicos, clearly not realizing how cat genetics works. Love to see some (accidental) intersex rep!

Nice 'n chill 1st episode showing all the humans and yokai getting along, even the family's old cat having its tail split and becoming a new nekomata yokai who has to learn about his "yokai powers" from other yokai.

This one's definitely worth watching more episodes.
