I'm from a small-ish country where people speak english pretty well, and the main reason is that we simply can't produce enough media ourselves, so we look at a lot of english media. There's literally reports of children in kindergarten speaking english because their parents gave them an ipad with youtube lol.
But I can imagine, soon the default settings on smartphones will be to translate everything, be it text, audio, or even video, where they will edit the lips automatically to match the translation (which is of course, spoken with the voice of the original person).
whats your thoughts on this? Personally, language preservation is something im actually excited about. If a language is dying, being able to watch all your series and even tiktok in it would be the best thing that can happen.
