I ran out space in my fermenter so I used orange juice containers. The picture was taken after one day of fermentation iirc. I released the pressure when I saw it. Lol

Looks like you were trying to make grenades. May I suggest adding thumb taks next time?

You can just loosen the cap so pressure can escape. Makes a good enough airlock.

I think that’s what I did but the cap still ended up being too tight. I loosened again the next day after taking this photo

Hah, yikes. Kombucha wants oxygen anyway. Just cover it with a paper towel or coffee filter or something.
