Hey all, I'd like to grow some garlic at home in containers.

Problem is I live near Phoenix, Arizona USA so it's quite hot outside most of the year.

Anyone have experience want to share some tips? I noticed some garlic bulbs starting to sprout in my fridge and thought I might be able to start some indoors from that.

Woohoo, you're not kidding about hot! But you should be able to start them indoors if you can find a good balance of sunlight and temperature. There's a good chance your grocery store garlic was grown in Central California, it might even have a label, so aim for that kind of "climate". Once you're past the present hellish extremes, you might move the pot outdoors, starting with a shady spot and moving into partial sun, even full sun as weather warrants, rather than committing to a permanent place right away.
