I regularly see trucks this tall around my area in Texas, usually on the weekends. They don't have tires that tall or wide, but they can get pretty close.

If you ever see one parking, hang around and watch the dismount. It's always hilarious.

I saw the movie in a theater when it came out. The ridiculousness of the truck was intended to make the crime boss's henchmen look like yahoos and it worked. My friend and I had a laugh when it appeared.
