I'm envious of what you can get at a 7-11 in Japan.
The Night Feeling
The Night Feeling is the thoughtful nostalgic emotion you feel when you drive alone at night, or see a city skyline at dusk with the wind in your face.
It’s a community for the feeling you get when you’re feeling lonely but at peace, thoughtful but melancholy, and homesick for something you can’t quite remember

The day I left Japan I hit up 711 and just bought as much food as I could that would survive the trip home. When I got home I sat in my living room and had a bunch of treats. In my head it was like having both worlds overlap just a bit for just a moment.
I'm still in pain. When I walked into a 7/11 back in the states, I half expected to be able to buy soju, whiskey, and onigiri in one run.
love the glowing streetlamps, especially since they look like orbs
I remember walking those side streets on a cold and rainy night. I suddenly turned a corner and there was just this row of glowing vending machines just sitting there. Turned another street, giant temple. Turning again, a street with glowing lanterns. Such a cool place. Thanks for this, great memories.
Weird, I'm watching the Kyoto episode of Somebody Feed Phil right now.
