Well the seller sent me firmware 2.65 to flash (I have 2.74) but I could not flash it, after I drag the file, the chip disconnects and reconnects to the PC… And now my eMMC is even more corrupt (purple screen when trying to boot OFW). User data partition was deleted for some reason so I did a NAND restore. OFW is now stuck at logo again. EmuNAND still works. Still really bad experience overall. I ordered another modchip from Amazon this time. Let’s see if it fixes the issue… Now I really wish I left my Switch alone from the beginning.
Just to add clarification for everyone, the chip you get off of Amazon will be the same quality as alliexpress, it will just arrive faster. Also don't sweat it, it still works so I'm sure you'll get it figured out.
Do note 2.74 is the unstable fw with 300mhz clock. I would recommend not using it.
I installed a new chip ordered from Amazon today, it fixed the issue ! OFW now boots fine from eMMC. What a relief !
