I would say autistic fixations are intense interests, sometimes inappropriate things in the eyes of non autistic people, sometimes maybe just obscure.

Thanks.
I’m currently trying to forget about an anime.
Do you need to?
Hm… often a fixation like that tells you you need love in your life or friendship. Is that possible?
Not sure why downvoted. I'd say if a fixation comes with voluntary self-isolation it shows that something is amiss, although it might not be the lack of love.
I found that I very much hide inside of my obscure interests when subconsciously talking about important stuff with my loved ones.
Oh wow. Yes, I didnt think that either. Some people probably felt called out or misunderstood what I meant.
Obviously, it can be a range of things. I tried to factor in what things are displayed in animes a lot. Often its success, reliable plot, emotion, sexuality, etc.
Maybe.
For me it's a topic I get obsessed about for a few days or weeks then switch to something else.
Usually I spend my time just reading the wiki of my current interest, and I think it helps with stress?

Currently Brandon Sanderson audiobooks, but usually videogames
It’s like a special interest that you memorize loads of data about. For me it’s fish and aquariums… I fucking love aquariums
A fixation is something I am eager to interact with it a majority of the time, often to the exclusion of other stuff I need or want.
