He has honestly been one of our most underrated players (probably along with Big Gabi) for a while now. White is an incredibly versatile player. And he has become crucial to Arteta's evolving style of play with his ability to bomb down the wing, play inverted, or slip into a right-sided defensive midfield position.
Plus he is a natural at the dark art of defending. And he is a critical element in our attacking set pieces. And of course, he has that ruthlessness and aggression that we need.
£50 million was a bargain for him.
