"Our focus is on placing the cube of cheese on the trigger. I'm not going to speak for the coiled spring under tension."

That suspiciously sounds just like what Robert "Bobby" Camembert IV of the Tom&Jerry Think Tank said.

Edit

I've made myself a little sad. I want there to be an tongue-in-cheek indie band called Camembert IV.

I'm a fan of the roman numerals instead of being called "Five Finger Death Punch" or whatever

After I posted my joke I wondered by III or V didn't sound quite right. Then I realized I must have been unconsciously thinking of the 1960s band Classics IV. They have a few songe I like. Stormy for example.

"To reiterate... Israel has the right to defend itself by bombing our port."

[–] [email protected] 24 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Why would they airstrike their own platform? The port will be used as an American military foothold in Gaza to begin colonization from the sea while Israel splits Gaza in half with the East-West road they constructed. These are all bites being taken out of Gaza as it gets split smaller and smaller. The American port idea is just another way to invade

It's 100% this. It's a shameless way to get boots on the ground

also future natural gas extraction platform

FWIW they probably forgot to ask

[–] [email protected] 23 points 8 months ago

I don't think it would have mattered much.

"Mr. Israel, sir - we humbly ask that you do not bomb our port."

"In the interest of national security the Nation of Israel we will do whatever it needs to. Also and sincerely 'fuck you' for even wasting our time with this shit."

"We beg your forgiveness."

"This better not happen again."

No way - this port will be the only route Palestinians will be able to escape the Rafah ground invasion. Israel will wait for it to be completed, then invade. The US will send humanitarian ships and start an evacuation route. Egypt isn't helping Israel empty out Gaza, so the us has stepped in. Where will the refugees go? Who knows!

[–] [email protected] 17 points 8 months ago

Nah, they will integrate it with their new road and whatever else they put in to annex the territory.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 8 months ago

that or they allow Israel to use the port for a naval op

"Yep they will bomb and you bet your ass we won't give a single shit about it." - That speaker

[–] [email protected] 10 points 8 months ago

A few days? Nah, the moment there are enough starving Palestinians there to get the scraps being given to them.

And sure they might hit a couple US troops too, but that doesn't really matter.

That's what I call answering a yes or no question in good faith, by just talking about something at best tangentially related without saying yes or no

Parliamentarian says they can't actually build it because of budgeting rules
