Honestly this would be pretty gourmet if you spread the mayo, go with two square Ritz instead one a round one, and cut the cheese/spam into square.

And stack it like:

ham

cheese

mayo

cracker

[–] [email protected] 5 points 7 months ago

I'd add another cracker on top too, but that's optional

i didnt know ritz had squarez.

Squarez Ritz: gourmetz editionez

I'm not a big fan of American cheese, but this shouldn't be too bad. It's roughly a ham and cheese sandwich.

Roughly a third grader’s snack

These guys are from another planet where this food is appealing:

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago

Yes, it reminds you of a ham and cheese sandwich.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 7 months ago

I would definitely eat this and regret it later.

off-brand SPAM

Lips and assholes scraped from the very bottom of the barrel!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago

I like musubi, but the price of Spam is ridiculous right now. I'll stick to my other choice of lips and asshole scraped from the very bottom of the barrel for now, bologna.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 7 months ago

i hate it i hate it i hate it im sorry.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago

Good choice of mayo.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago

With a neater presentation this could look appetizing

Jesus, I at least fry the spam first, and I never eat American cheese. What a savage.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago (2 children)

if I fried the spam Id probably melt the cheese on the spam bits while it was frying, and then you're leaving the doman of shitty food

I live in europe now but I grew up in the states and american cheese is like an ultraprocessed hug from my ancestors

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago (1 children)

American cheese isn't even "ultra processed". It's basically just cheddar with a couple edible chemicals added, one being a salt IIRC. Nile Red did a video on it

I gave my kids Spam & eggs for breakfast as a "treat" when we went camping, they loved it!

Then thier minds were blown with Spam masubi (Spam sushi).

[–] [email protected] 1 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Absolutely!

And it's amazing!

[–] [email protected] 0 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I suppose one could make it- just sushi rice, nori and a spam slice... how thick? is it fried at all?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Sushi rice, saute or grill the spam to carmeliize, nori wrap....thats it. Maybe eel sauce. easy peasy.

The Hawaiian cooks I had used the can to mold the rice, eel sauce, then placed spam over the top, sliced to shape, the nori wrap.
