submitted 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago) by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

Hello everyone,

Due to the exponential growth of this community in the past few days, we're looking for a third mod to add to our team.

Mod requirements:

  1. Is trans

  2. Is an active member of this community

If you want to be a mod, explain what your vision for this community is.

I would be interested. This community helped/continues to help me so much, and I am looking for ways to give back.

I have been posting weekly about my experience on HRT, and am interested in taking a more active role in the community. I want this community to remain welcoming and positive, it should be a safe place for people to discuss both their struggles and successes on their journeys. We should remain open to the rainbow of experiences "trans" represents while strongly shutting down hatred and bad actors.

There is a sense of community here that I haven't felt anywhere else, online or off, and I want to be a bigger part of that.

You sound like the perfect candidate. The spot has just been taken, but at around 1000 subscribers we'll likely add a fourth (then cap it off, since four mods is enough). I'll strongly consider you when that time comes. Stay tuned!

I meet both requirements :P but will preface that I have not been a mod of a community before.

I would love for this community to continue to grow into a place where all trans identities are encouraged to share their commonalities and differences in a respectful way. I love the questions that are asked in this community as a way for members to share their individual perspectives.

I think we need a community where we all trans identities join together in solidarity and to fight the internal divisions that only aim to weaken us as a whole.

Thanks for consideration ❤️

This was the first community I ever modded. It's not that hard, you just have to check community posts, comments, and mod logs often, as well as be aware of all of the rules. Does that sound good?

Also, right now the workload is very low. I've only had to remove content twice, and ban one user since the start of this community. That could potentially change in the future but rn it's pretty chill.

Honestly that sounds perfect! Will give me a chance to grow as a mod while the community grows :)
