CONROE, Texas (KTRK) -- Some Conroe ISD trustees want to crack down on displays of racial inclusivity and pride, saying they represent, "symbols of personal ideologies."

One trustee says a child was traumatized by a poster showing different colored children holding hands and had to switch classrooms.

When asked if bible verses were also in violation of existing policy and should be removed, Dungan struggled to respond.

"Right? Would you agree?" trustee Datren Williams asked Dungan.

"I don't know," Dungan replied.

Ah yes, I see. christian love, at it again. It must be so tiring to be so hateful and so triggered all of the time.

Could someone please think of that totally-not-made-up 1st grader??

  1. It's refreshing to see someone in Texas arguing against the attempts to put religion in the classroom.

  2. There is another way to present an argument against this kind of attempt at whitewashing history. It goes like this: I fully understand that American children are snowflakes, and weak of mind. Children in Europe, especially Germany, are required to learn about the histories of their countries with an emphasis on the Holocaust. How it happened, why it happened, and an emphasis on preventing it from happening again. I entirely agree that American children are so lacking in strength of will that they are incapable of facing what their ancestors did without having their entire world view come crashing down, and possibly requiring lifelong therapy.

Feel free to use the second argument on any MAGA and watch their face. BTW, I went through the US Public School System and somehow managed to escape with an education despite it.

Ridiculous

Edit: unless it's a stunt, then I like it. Good stunt.

Public schools have no business in having any religious or political leanings or teachings. Kids holding hands of different races doesnt feel like its in violation of any of the previously mentioned items so I dont see the problem.
