It's refreshing to see someone in Texas arguing against the attempts to put religion in the classroom.
There is another way to present an argument against this kind of attempt at whitewashing history. It goes like this: I fully understand that American children are snowflakes, and weak of mind. Children in Europe, especially Germany, are required to learn about the histories of their countries with an emphasis on the Holocaust. How it happened, why it happened, and an emphasis on preventing it from happening again. I entirely agree that American children are so lacking in strength of will that they are incapable of facing what their ancestors did without having their entire world view come crashing down, and possibly requiring lifelong therapy.
Feel free to use the second argument on any MAGA and watch their face. BTW, I went through the US Public School System and somehow managed to escape with an education despite it.
