90% "that's amazing, I had no idea it looked so cool" and 10% "what is this ungodly abomination, let me unsee this" in my experience :)

Very true! Some of the things that I thought would look great don't turn out great, and the reverse as well. I snagged a fairly decent picture of a bee on a purple crocus yesterday, and you can easily see the pollen all over it!

The bees are the best. They get SO dusty. Also: can I see, please?

Just posted it! I'm still learning this type of photography, everything goes out of focus at the slightest touch! I may need to start using a tripod or something.
