@tumblr I noticed that Tumblr only supports Stripe as the only payment tool. Is there any particular reason? Why can't I use other online payment tools? For example, isn't Paypal more commonly used and easier to use?

Stripe processed 817 billion worth of transactions in 2022.

PayPal 1.36 trillion.

They're pretty comparable and generally stripe is easier to just drop into your code base, as I understand it.

Companies often talk about "becoming the stripe of X" in reference to being the quick and easy solution to whatever problem.

This guy has been posting on multiple subs regarding taking PayPal over Stripe and it's kinda sus.
