Excerpt from Athletic article:

West Ham have made a £60million ($76.7m) double bid for Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay.

Manchester United rejected a £20m bid for Maguire at the end of July and also dismissed an enquiry close to £30m for McTominay a fortnight ago. But David Moyes is a big admirer of the pair and is pushing for their signings.

Erik ten Hag would ideally like to keep McTominay, but is willing to sanction a sale if the money becomes too good to turn down, with United needing to balance the books after bringing in Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund.

West Ham’s proposal for Maguire, around £30m, is getting close to the figure United would accept, but the outcome ultimately depends on his decision. Maguire has wanted to stay at United and fight for his place but his England spot will come in jeopardy if he remains behind Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, and Victor Lindelof.

We've been good with buying players this window so it'll be interesting how selling them will be handled, we should be getting more than 60 for the both of them

More than 60 for these two? What galaxy do you live in mate? I would take 35 for McTerminator any day of the week. And Maguire is a liability with wages. 60 for both of them is dreamland for everyone involved. McT deserves to play football and Maguire needs a fresh start in a team that suits him.

Yeah, this would be a great deal... Nobody will miss Maguire, and McT just isn't it.

I can't believe we rejected it. End up haggling over a few million and stuck with both of them.

It's pretty obvious Maguire needs to move on. I hope it's obvious to him too.

Bite their arm off for these two at £60m. Harry clearly does not fit our style of play, and Scott just isn't good enough to rely on week in, week out.

This would be the best deadwood sale we've done in a long time.

Yes. Getting rid of Maguire is important for many reasons. The team har to look into his eyes every day and tell him he is good, without feeling sorry for him. That's a training session in itself.

I reckon we could try get £70 million for them.

Maguire is an absolute weak link in our defence and should be sold.. the latest bid of 30 for him has to be accepted..
