Last Wednesday Netflix announced a full-season documentary that will have "unprecedented access to follow the '24 Red Sox from start to finish". How do you guys feel about it? (lemmy.world)

Personally I'm excited, as long as it gives more insight to the daily routine of a baseball player and all the things that come into play with running a baseball team for a full season. But I hated the over-dramatization of F1's Drive to Survive, so I feel a little apprehension.

Sounds a bit like the NFL’s Hard Knocks. It could be interesting, but like as you said, they could over-dramatize it and ruin it.

I'd be interested if it's like Hard Knocks, ie preseason training and and behind the scenes look into running a club house. It could be neat look at a side of baseball that not everyone knows much about. Is it going to have episodes come out during the baseball season or is it going to come out after the '24 season?

It's planned for release in '25. The exact date hasn't been revealed.
