I'm looking for C.H.U.D (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C.H.U.D.). I tried the following searches when searching 1337x.to:

  1. "C.H.U.D." -- The result was: "Please make sure atleast one word in your query is more then 3 characters. Your search is too short." And I saw it had changed my search string to "C H U D"

  2. "CHUD" -- this returned a bunch of porn, and eventually "C.H.U.D.II.Bud.the.Chud.1989.1080p.BluRay.H264.AAC" showed up in the list. But not the first C.H.U.D movie. And when I searched for "C.H.U.D.II" in the search bar, it once again claimed the search query was too short, and replaced the dots with spaces.

Please help.

Edit: problem solved thanks to you! Just had to out a space between C.H.U.D. and 1984

They had a DDOS attack last week that took the site down for a few days. Since coming back up, I haven't been able to connect to it through radarr or sonarr (via prowlarr) even though you can access the site via a web browser. They've probably either restricted access or part of their site is still broken. In either case, there's not much we can do but wait for a solution.

I think they added a cloudflare captcha. Saw a recommendation for flaresolver but it sounds like that uses a fair amount of memory so I haven't tried it personally

also in jackett, can't get search results from 1337x

shit I didn't even notice

If you know the details, put the year in the search. "c.h.u.d. 1984" gets six results.

c.h.u.d. 1984

lmfao thank you so much, and there I thought I had been thorough in my search before posting!

I had similar issues looking for a movie titled space 1999.

I kept getting every movie made in 1999 or that had the word space in it.

I eventually found it... At the library...

Amazing. I hope you ripped it to keep a copy, because that sounds like it'll be impossible to find again

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 months ago

Yup. In a folder. On an external hard drive.

Do you mean the compilation movie called "Spazio 1999" in it's original language?

https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/542499-spazio-1999 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space:_1999#Compilation_films

I have no problem finding either the series or the Italian movie.

Searching for "Space 1999" works and "spazio 1990" works better for the movie.

I did eventually figure out how to get it. It didn't help that it is not the title of the book.

I have since learned how to use a few functions with searches that make it much easier.

But thank you for pointing out my flaws.

If the search query have dot in it, just replace it with a space, like this: C H U D 1984

I dunno man, I just entered "c h u d 1984" into qbit search and immediately got 1.6GB 1080p YTS rip result, even some integral cut

but yeah 1337x search plugin seems broken, not getting any results for few days, everything I get is from bt4gprx.com and torlock plugins, even torrentgalaxy plugin seems not work

I thought we stopped using 1337x because they blatantly allowed malware on their site.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Kinda low on alternatives with rarbg gone. Any recs?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 9 months ago

Torrentgalaxy and RUTracker are the ones that come to mind

[–] [email protected] 6 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I'm sorry but isn't that 1377x?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 months ago (2 children)

no, 1337x.to is the official one

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 months ago

Yes so I was implying that parent poster might've been using the unofficial fake site instead.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

yes but somebody found some sort of malware in a video game that was hosted on that site, and the hosts didn't want to do anything about it or something. I don't remember the details, I just remember that you're not supposed to download anything executable from 1337x

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

First I'm hearing of it but I haven't been keeping up to date on it. That sucks. What else can we use? LimeTorrents tried to get me to install blatant malware in order to even search the site so I noped the fuck out.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 months ago

Definitely Torrentgalaxy. It looks suspicious af but I haven't had any issues with it.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

why would I even care about it, if only thing I torrent are movies and TV shows?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 months ago

.. because you can download malware instead of movies and TV shows? It's an unsafe site now.

Lol C.H.U.D. I loved that movie. I probably rented it 500 times when I was in 4th-5th Grade. Now I'm gonna have to get it...

One of Daniel Stern's finest roles. Heck, this whole movie is full of theater actors. Not half bad
