Oh wow, so it's still unclear whether there anything more than just accusations. What a mess, but I look forward to this playing out.
I really hope it's not a case of shoplifting

Wasn't it shayne Jones that got stung for buying sunnies on his parliamentary card? (Admittedly a bit different...)
What other gaffes have we had?
Act MP Awatere Huata stole from a government funded foundation and paid for a stomach staple.
Holy shit, that's amazing!
"Nah, fuck you - I got mine!" encapsulated perfectly!
Possibly, but given the police are involved, I'd be taking it pretty seriously. Filing a false complaint is a crime, after all.
Agreed. Surely she's not that stupid, but who knows? Time will tell, hopefully...
People don't necessarily shoplift for logical reasons. It'll be an interesting one to watch, for sure.
I think as a list MP, if she resigns then someone else from the list replaces her. Pretty shitty behaviour but obviously there is a complete lack of information on what actually happened.
Having spoken to someone with good knowledge of the system, that's my understanding as well.
Honestly I feel like we shouldn't even have known which MP it was until someone has confirmed if the allegation is credible. The current reporting feels like a feeding frenzy.
She's not an athlete or in the Act Party so no name suppression..
Yeah she really should have jumped wakas before she got accused of shoplifting
Aside, what the hell is a green doing in a shop that flash? Shouldn't she be sustainably op-shopping or something?
Or taking overseas holidays during a climate crisis?
That's a good point actually.
Nah, that's not fair to the innocent.
