"We will always protect our beloved ~~society~~ economy in difficult times!

Don't worry though, when we pump that relief money into banks and corporations, those benevolent, privately owned, for profit organizations will ensure those relief funds will trickle down to you!

💰🤣🖕

But hey don't be a filthy socialist, you should be grateful that you live in such embarrassingly decadent times... for your economic superiors!"

My personal favorite is "We care about our beloved country! We're all in this together!"

[buys a literal doomsday bunker in New Zealand]

"The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn’t; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all."

"We care about our beloved country! We're all in this together!"

Donates even more money to violent, insurrectionist political campaigns.

  • Banks in good times: State and regulations are bad
  • Banks in bad times: Please State, save me!

In USSR, there was just one state bank, and it was a bank in the same way as feds are “bank”. People could put deposits into organization which was not even called bank, and it was not doing any investments.

That’s a long way of saying that the banks in the bottom panel look suicidal.
