I've seen how much WotC cuts costs in other areas, especially related to their paltry 5th Edition offerings in the last 5 or so years. To think that they wouldn't jump at the chance to lay off 80% of their art staff is folly. They will 100% lay off the art team, hell, as soon as ChatGPT can make a logical MtG card, they'll lay off their writers, too. And honestly, with the state of their recent sets, I'd say they are already experimenting with that. I've already ditched 5e for PF2E and if I ever get the itch to play a CCG again, I'll look into other versions of that, as well. Hell, if Paizo releases a CCG, I'd actually throw some money at that.

There's a Pathfinder adventure card game. I know next to nothing about it, but I have friends that swear by it
Yeah, I've been wanting to give that a spin, but it's more of a tabletop deckbuilder than an actual CCG.
