I opened Aurora store to check for updates for my couple play store apps (as one does) and was offered a monero.com wallet update. Now i dont update that app from play store so i went to the github and saw the latest release says 3 weeks ago. Its most likely nothing, but if there really is an update i will wait until the github says there is

I would recommend just grabbing the APK from GitHub directly, and verifying with the Sha256 hash.

Honestly, the devs should just add it to F-droid or make their own repo for it.

In addition you can install Obtainium from f-droid, it allows you to manage installs from github releases among many, many other things. F-droid + obtainium is almost all you need.
