Yeah I totally didn't see this weather coming - which is why I did some exterior painting this morning 🤦‍♂️

Haha hope all is well. I mowed the lawn and decided to let the bottom of the mower dry a bit before storing. Then the hail came and I suddenly realised it was still outside... It's definitely not dry.

Haha oh hopefully it had time to dry

Yeah two hours should be enough...

Luckily it's not much and not cosmetic so no harm done

I was working in Porirua, we got a lightning storm and hail, followed shortly by heavy rain. It was clear an hour later though.

I also heard a rumour about a tornado in Lower Hutt but haven't seen it mentioned in any proper sources.

Edit: Looks like article is updated and now mentions the tornado

Bunnings Petone got damaged apparently.

Yeah it's been dramatic in Lower Hutt. I was working in Welly when it rolled through but my partner was disgruntledly enduring a planned power outage in the Hutt and he says he's never heard anything like that.

I saw a photo of the New World in Central hutt with some windows smashed out from the alleged tornado
