I just want a fast dumb awd electric sports hatch. Think WRX but electric.

No self driving

No internet connection

No cameras

No screens

Nothing to update

Analog dials

Simple twist knobs for air con

Is that really too hard?

I think backup cams are required by law for safety, but other than that and a thing to play music and maps, yeah, I'm game.

I'll concede a reversing camera and a sound system, but for everything else there's your phone. Maybe include bluetooth in the car but that's it tech wise. I feel like I'm already on a slippery slope.

Oh good. More crossovers. At some point one would think that market would be tapped...

Where are all the sedans and station wagons? Enough SUVs and crossovers already. Well there's a handful sedans in existence at least.

And in Europe there's somewhat decent selection of hatchbacks

EU it seems. They don’t want to bring wagons here

I love my Subaru outback, wish there were more options for wagons though.

I'll believe it when I see it.

And if I see it, I'll believe it when meaningful volume is there.

This just screams marketing shenanigans that ultimately results in them producing like 25/year just to say they did it.

Part of me thinks Toyota is still stuck in their idea that their hydrogen vehicles will take off (somehow).

I don’t really want a Toyota that’s made in China.

Looks cool, but it would look way better as a two door. Everything is a boring crossover, getting more tired than COD and the MCU in 10 years.
