It's how I figured out Henry Kissinger died, so it can't be all that bad.
Memes
Rules:
- Be civil and nice.
- Try not to excessively repost, as a rule of thumb, wait at least 2 months to do it if you have to.
Pros: You get to see people doing what is right when this news drops, celebrating, instead of a bunch of liberal garbage about "remembering a great statesman."
Cons: You don't get to hear if he suffered properly.
Same!
Sorry for the Twitter link, but it's worth the click

Edit: guess I broke the link and I don't know how to fix it, sorry
Just read the regular news first and guess which of them will become a meme. Twice the fun.
Other way around: check the memes first, read and watch more in debt about the subject matter that warrants it.
If I had found out about Kissinger from the regular news rather than lemmy, I would have had to slog through a hundred articles by idiots and cowards calling him a genius before I got to the correct take from Rolling Stone:
too much clickbait and paid content for me to enjoy regular news. news lemmy is at least readable
When I read the regular news, I still have to come here to see the meme spin on current events.
Tbh I get soooo fucking anxious when I read the regular news. I really need the funny/sarcastic of the meme to breach a new shitty topic before I can read an article about it.
This is how we take over democracy
Same here
