~~And still, the gag-order is in limbo...~~

UPDATE: Gag-order reinstated!, though it seems to only be a gag-order about the Court personnel, and may not cover an attack on the judge's wife.

Remember kids, if you want to be a stable genius, make sure that if you ever go before a judge as a defendant do the smart thing and insult his wife.

In his case, making the judge as actively biased as possible may get him his mistrial.

Might also get the judge or his wife killed.

If he gets the judge or his wife killed he'll be treading on REALLY thin ice then and may possibly potentially get sorta another gag order instated. Maybe!

Okay he does know that mob tactics do not work this way? Typically when you use mob tactics you have to intimidate the witnesses, directly antagonizing the judge and the prosecuting attorney just makes them come down on you harder

One of the possible strategies I've read for a tough case like this is to antagonize the judge and hope they make an error, then have it declared a mistrial.

This is likely precisely why the judge has been so lenient. He knows the weight of this case and knows that any mistake he makes is going to be used to attempt to overturn the trial, so he's being extra careful to demonstrate that he's done the trial without bias.

But trumps attorneys also know this, so letting him be a complete ass might be the best shot they have.

He has no choice. He was already found guilty. This is sentencing.

He's pounding the table and engoron is laughing all the way to the end of the process.

He knows trump is guilty. Trump knows he knows and doesn't care so he rages the only way he can.
