Welcome to my own personal Lemmy instance. Even though this was created to by for my own personal usage, anyone else is free to also use this instance, as long as they abide by the rules in the sidebar!

Please refrain from any actions that may cause my instance to be defederated from any other instance!

Note: I would prefer if communities are created on other instances, as this is still a personal instance, and I do not want to be responsible for any missing data.

While this is first and foremost a personal instance for myself, I will pledge to keep this instance running for as long as reasonably possible.

For some technical background, this instance is operated following industry ~~best~~ practices:

1. This server is running in a bedroom! (well, not exactly, but it is why I can afford to keep this server up at low costs)
2. The entire Lemmy application stack lives in a VM, with 1 CPU core, and 2GiB of RAM.
3. The VM that is backed up relatively frequently to both local, and remote backups.

A significant chunk of funding for this infrastructure comes directly from ~~our amazing community~~ myself. This support is essential to help secure our future. ~~These supporters~~ I, myself deserve the gratitude of all lemmy.kya.moe users!

Why are signups closed?

Sorry, as part of my beliefs in a federated Fediverse to ensure no instance grows too big, even my own, I will block user registrations as and when activity on this Lemmy instance passes a threshold.
