Hey all, just found this sub

Any recommendations for an electric razor to use on your head in the shower? I've been shaving my head with a Gillette simple razor for a few years now. But every time I change the blade I end up with way too many nicks and cuts.

Thoughts?

Pinging @[email protected]

I'm no headshaver myself, but I understand that the Leaf is rather popular.

By the way, I'm not sure people here will be able to help you with an electric razor, since this lemmy is specifically about wet shaving (mostly safety and straight razors).

I don't know about electric, but if you don't want to take the dive into wetshaving, just switch away from Gillette. There are tons of disposable and cartridge options out there. One of them will work!

Like PorkButtsNTaters666 said, this instance is more about traditional wetshaving with safety razors, straight razors and shavettes. Some people here are knowledgeable about cartridge razors too, but most of us shun electric razors.

I myself have been shaving my head for a few years now with quite a few different options - from Headblade cartridge razors to disposable and of course, safety razors.

As for your situation, you'll need something with a very sturdy grip for shaving your head in the shower. Leaf razors are popular, especially the Twig and Thorn, but their smooth handles might be too slippery when wet. If a safety razor would be of interest to you, I'd recommend something with covered blade tabs and a rock solid grip - like a RazoRock Gamechanger (not the OC or Jaws version) with RR's Superknurl handle. If safety razors are too daunting for a quick shower shave to you, my recommendation would be a Headblade Moto or ATX. Especially the former has a pretty easy handling, but it also takes some time getting used to it. A fogless shower mirror could be of great help there so you won't miss any spots on your scalp!

I just use a safety razor on my head. After the first few times cutting yourself you’ll either get it or give up.
