That's a long break between seasons

I'd imagine that's down to the fact that they weren't sure if it was coming back until early into the first season?

Super depressing show, the first season had more dead babies and dead mothers giving birth then I really ever wanted to see in my entire life. I have zero hope for season two to be much better.

I'm sure season two will avoid child death tbh. It'd be a bit bloody cheesy for them to go back to that well again and again.
