From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Here is an alternative Piped link(s): https://piped.video/6_VxrcNgUlM

Piped is a privacy-respecting open-source alternative frontend to YouTube.

I'm open-source, check me out at GitHub.

Oh no… they’re making Linux history videos about things I was alive for… this must be what old feels like

I mean, there are history videos for things that are 1-2 years old too that are there to sum up everything known and explain things to people out of the loop

Lol I remember that from highschool on the first Linux system I got my hands on.

Thanks for some of the only good memories from that time in my life.
