An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! π΅π
Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

Chicken McDo > Jollibee Chicken Joy
How does the quote go?
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
Hahaha. But for real, medyo nahihilo lang ako sa mantika ng Chicken Joy now, but I used to love it.
@heliosef Ganito siya lumabas (attached screenshot).
But, yeah, mamantika nga. Ginagawa ko, lagyan gravy.
Although if there are more options, Uncle John's chicken and KFC Philippines chicken are better.
Uncle John's chicken, it's crispier, less grease, and consistently big. Sa Jollibee, if it's a franchise store it's small; but if it's handled by JFC itself, it's big.
While the chicken of KFC Philippines is soft and tastier, on the medium size.
Hmm⦠Mang Inasal too? Still, I'll pick Uncle John's or KFC Philippines over Jollibee and Mang Inasal.
Yung sleeper ko sa local fast food chicken is Kipp's. Dalawang branch lang alam ko: sa Megamall and Southmall food courts.
I can't explain the flavor, pero parang combined Uncle John's and KFC siya, if you haven't tried it yet. Absolutely unhealthy, though.
@heliosef Ito? https://twitter.com/kippschickenph
Haha, I will try it! ^_^
Yup, that's it. May Twitter pala sila haha
Mavs 3-0!

Back to reddit na rin ba kayo? I was hoping mag-boom dito sa fediverse, pero so far downtrend lang ang mga post/comments. I'm just talking about c/ph and not the whole lemmyverse. Will still keep my account here para backup kung sakali magloko ulit si spez
Lurking, yes. Engagements, no.
I still find some useful information on Reddit na wala sa fediverse. For now, fediverse is dominated by tech-savvy and privacy-conscious online users, and I am the guy who also look for both mainstream and indie scenes.
I believe Internet is a place for open, collective consciousness. Forget the Facebook, X formerly known as Twitter, Reddit etc., information will preserve and retrieve by digital archivers.
Never been back to that other place ever since I left mid-June. I just lurk here since I just don't have anything worthwhile to contribute here.
I comment here more than r/ph, but that's not saying a lot. Minsan sumisilip ako sa r/ph, but very rarely. Pero even before the API debacle, bihira na rin naman ako sumilip dun.
I mostly check Lemmy before reddit in general for news and updates. Pag wala lang discussion dito ako tsaka ako tumitingin dun, but not via the official app.
Never.
