Any game mobile advertised on Youtube, if it was good they would not need to advertise

That isn't really possible, there will allways be a gap between the release of a new version of software and a distribution putting it in their repos.

Arch is famous for keeping the software on the bleeding edge, so I'd look into that, see if you can write a script that will look for new releases of the software, then set a cron job to run the script every day.

Yeah, that's true.

I was more thinking like a company of 2-50 people that only need email, computer and user management.

Then the cloud like 365 is fine.

But as you grow you will need to reevaluate the need for local servers, like storage, or in some cases compute.

You need to reevaluate the risks of growing completely dependant on another company for your own company's future, for some scenarios it absolutely makes sense, for other scenarios absolutely not.

I sadly had to get a Reddit account just a few weeks ago, I am an IT technician and needed help from the sysadmin subreddit for a work question.

But after rejoining after more than a year away from the site, it has clearly seen a huge decline, way less people post less content, the content that is posted isn't as interesting as it used to be.

IT guy here...

GOOD!

The cloud is brilliant for small companies, but for mid size and larger companies it should be used sparingly.

Use them as clients in your homelab?

[-] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago

What you do is to look on the local used hardware sites, search for server, fet a cheap one with SAS interfaces, and now you have the start of a homelab.

Please remember that Webkit is based on KHTML, the browsing engine that Konqueror, the webbrowser in the KDE suite, used.

So Apple forked KHTML, made WebKit, Safari, Chrome and loads of other browsers used it and improved it, then Google forked WebKit, and made Blink, their current browsing engine

Good morning, I am in the market for replacing my fairly generic Philips 60hz 1440p IPS office monitor that I have used since 2017, it has issues with image retention and I want to upgrade to a higher refresh rate and move to a dual monitor setup.

I am currently decided on getting one or two monitors of either of these models.

But I have a few questions...

First a bit of an unusual requirenment, I need a monitor with an audio out, I seem to have borked my onboard audio on my computer, I get nothing when connecting my amp directly to my motherboard, it worked fine for a day or two after I built the system, but when I wanted to upgrade my cable, it just never worked, for a few days I used the front headphone jack, but the cable got caught in my chair and pulled the computer case over when it was running, it also yanked one ring out of thw 3.5mm jack.

So I have no on board audio I can use, this means that I send my audio through the display port cable and out through the audio out of the monitor to my amp, this works great, but poses some questions that I will get to.

At the moment, I am looking at getting one DE and one D, connecting them with a DP cable so I can easily switch between my desktop and my work laptop.

This means that I'll mostly be relying on MST from my desktop to my secondary monitor.

I will only game on my primary monitor, the other will either be off or show my desktop/chat, how would that affect gaming?

I was out to Arlanda airport yesterday evening, and took this photo.

I did not use a tripod for this photo, nor is it in anyway edited.

https://www.logicgamesonline.com/netwalk/daily.php

Networking is complex, you gotta keep track of subnets, vlans, firewalls, domain names, DHCP servers and more,

Netwalk is simpler, rotate the pieces untill all computers have access to the server, but you can't create loops or have loose connections anywhere, every peice must be used.

In the expert mode, connections wrap around to the other side.

This was broadcast on state television in Sweden in the 90s...

I remember watching it back then, having zero idea of what what going on but liking the bright colors...

The main part is just a guy doing a one man show for kids on a terrible CGI background.

There are also weird CGI shorts, music videos, puppetry, badly drawn cartoons, a weird gameshow with teddy bears, bad music videos.

I realize that they are all speaking Swedish, but trust me, this is from an era just breaking out of heavy moralizing and the segments of the show are constantly overbaering with trying to tech kids stuff.

It is not without it's charm though, I kinda like the gameshow part, even if the concept is a bit contrived... But I like the attention to detail and how nicely made it is.
