They think when the chaos hits they'll be the ones climbing the ladder instead of the ones being used as a ladder.

Adagio Mystery Box (lemmy.world)
submitted 4 months ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

I ordered a mystery box from Adagio which finally came in and was surprised at what came in. I was expecting a collection of single cup samples but instead I got several of the larger bags that can make multiple cups each.

This box contained:

  • April in Paris - .8oz
  • Blueberry Peach Gobbler Green - .5oz
  • Double Ginger Herbal - .8oz
  • Lemon Meringue Green - .5oz
  • Zodiac - aries tea - Single
  • Black Jasmine Song - Single
  • Tie Kuan Yin Black - .4oz

Since they change what they put in the mystery box each month, I might just see how to setup a monthly auto-purchase.

As a programmer, I consider The User to be the enemy. No matter how thoroughly I seemingly test my code, the second the user gets their hands on it, it breaks left and right from all the crazy shit they do.

From what I've read previously, I'm not sure that's enough.

I'm actually very impressed with this ad. It's so tone deaf I'm struggling to believe it's real.

I still feel like it should be illegal for the button to say "Buy" or "Purchase" when you're actually leasing the item.

There should be a nice, big, summarized disclaimer right above the button explaining what exactly you are purchasing. I'm sure the 100 page EULA explains but nobody has time to read through the whole thing every time they make a digital purchase.

The judge compared Littlejohn’s actions to those of the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack, noting that, “your actions were also a threat to our democracy.”

Because stealing and releasing tax documents is the same thing as attempting to violently overthrow the government.

I picked up some new teas from a shop while on vacation and this one was pretty good. I like teas with lavender in them but I find that it's sometimes overpowering. This one had the lavender taste without it overwhelming the other flavors.

Edit: I tried to upload a picture but it wouldn't let me so I used a link to the one of the pictures on the site.

This question pops up every now and then on social media and it always blows my mind that there are people who wipe standing up. I just don't understand the logistics of it and it seems like it would make things more difficult.

I'm really bad with this in games. I even hoarded iron back when I still played Minecraft simply because it was a resource I couldn't infinitely produce.

Cobblestone generator = use only cobblestone tools

I saw a comment on another post by a European explaining American politics to another European.

"Their left is our right, their right is our far right, and their far right are literal flag waving Nazis."

Just in case anyone is interested, Humble Bundle has a Tad Williams bundle containing 21 ebooks for $18. The offer ends in about 1.5 days. The ebooks come through kobo.com so you would require an account with kobo to redeem the ebooks.

There's also a lot of "what idiot wrote this code" only to check git and find out it was you.

Reading all these comments it's clear that a lot of people have unrealistic ideas regarding what Lemmy and the Fediverse are supposed to be (or maybe it's me with weird ideas).

The Fediverse is just a bunch of apps that can all communicate with each other through a shared protocol. There is no requirement for them to be free speech platforms or host everything. The whole purpose of defederation supports the idea that instances are free to associate or disassociate with whichever instances they want. Furthermore, nearly every guide I read on joining Lemmy state that you should choose instances to join based on shared ideals/beliefs.

For everyone saying "I'm leaving lemmy.world" I say "Good. That's what you're supposed to do." When the instance you join no longer aligns with what you want, you go to another instance and then you'll be back to viewing all the communities you want to see. That is what the Fediverse is all about and how it's designed.

I know there's a whole ethics thing revolving around the use of AI but I still find this sort of stuff to be amazing.

I've gone from getting tea bags at the grocery store to tea bags ordered online and just started getting loose leaf tea. I've been buying the bags and the loose tea from Stash but I was wondering where all of you get your tea.

I just tried this tea and it was very good. I'm not a big fan of cherries but I have been drinking it almost every day and like it more than the Cinnamon Black Tea I bought at the same time.
