Your reasoning makes perfect sense, and now I wish I didn't brute-force it head-first. Thanks for pointing that out !

[-] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

Bingo. I guess you got my reason behind flagging the square above the "4".

But I am still stuck.... May be brute force is the only way out...

[-] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

I think so too, but so have been unable to reason anything. Heading in brute-force is obviously the last resort for me, but was looking for something logical before I do that.

Because the two covered squares to the left of the "4-with-flag-on-top-of-it" can have only 1 mine (because of the "2" there), which means the "3" needs one more mine, which can only be on top of that "4".

At least that's my reasoning.

This is guess-free, and 14 mines left, all under those uncovered squares.

Any thoughts on how to proceed ?

EDIT - never mind. Tried brute force with the hope that the path I choose would be the right one - and lost.

But there's always a next ~~time~~ mine, lol.

And it was indeed heartening to see the Minesweeper community in Lemmy is not dead.

I am not an audio person, so do not have much idea about technical terms - but I hear the words "bass" and "treble" almost everywhere now, especially in the equalizer app that came with  a new bluetooth earbuds that I bought (yes, I am still very much a wired-earbud guy, just dipping my toes in the wireless earbud ocean).

So what do these "bass" and "treble" mean? I guess I hear the sounds to be different when I monkey around with the equalizer. The sound is slightly deep/full for "bass" and less so for "treble".

Is that all?

Excuse me - if I bought your product and paid for it, in what universe am I not investing into you, and instead you are investing into me??

HP is a steaming pile of shit.

They were sold to ZippoApps, who specializes in adding crapware to apps.

What else would we expect anyway...

I don't exactly recall when or where I heard/read this quote, but man it is dope

  • "it should not be a concern when people pirate your content, it should be when people don't even want to pirate your content"

Reputation is a perishable commodity. It is very hard to replenish it once gone.

Xwitter and Reddit understood it the hard way. Even if Unity goes back to exactly where they were before this ruckus - people will think twice before trusting them again.

Reddit, Xwitter, Unity..what next in the queue of "let me fuck myself" ?
