There are magnitudes more OC on Reddit than Lemmy just by nature of their user base size. There are bots and reposts, sure, but Lemmy pales in comparison to the amount of OC on Reddit

There's no mystery what happens if you cross, so I'm guessing he got what he wanted

I've noticed this when I used to lurk in subreddits related to what I'm most knowledgeable about. So much misinformation getting upvoted because it's said confidently

If by a good chunk you mean <0.1% of their content, I agree. The majority of Reddit users did not care to migrate, and many that did migrate didn't delete their old content

Ugly truck, but looking forward to seeing one soon

Like you said, I think it's pretty awful in the majority of countries with few exceptions

I've thought about this many times, who knows how many close calls we've had

There's only a few things I need to figure out and Lemmy can become a permanent home. Third party apps in development are all showing great potential, so I'm not worried about that. I'm currently using wefwef but have tested mlem and soon memmy and they are all great (or appear to be trending towards great).

  1. I'm on the Lemmy.ml instance. Are there any servers defederated from Lemmy.ml that I'm missing out on?

  2. Each page takes a few seconds to load, but sometimes much longer. Is that because I'm on Lemmy.ml, and if so, how do I find a server that would be quicker? Location based? User-count based?
