Forgot to post last night but I arrived in Mollymook yesterday afternoon. I'm here until tomorrow then I start heading home πŸ–οΈ

Straight up. I've done it the long way around a couple of times and it's a long long way of nothing much interesting so it's the M31 for me just to get there quicker.

Looking at NSW coast but a little further north where the sun is apparently shining, probably aim for the Shoalhaven area. Boss has approved. Just packing my suitcase now.

Really considering telling the boss I need the rest of the week off, jumping in my car and driving somewhere untill Sunday. I have done zero to prepare for this but I could make it happen. Feeling pretty low this week.

I'll be 41 years old this month.

I'd like to say I've lived a bit of a life. I've had and lost friends. I've found and lost love. I was even married for a little while. I was directionless career-wise coming out of high school but now I'm quite successful and am paid well for it. I'm moderately well-travelled. I've been to and seen a lot of places both domestic and abroad and not all of them were so nice.. some were even outright sketchy.

But today, on April 1st 2024 - I saw my very first bona fide, honest-to-god, ready for use, manky Glory Hole. A clearly frequented hole in the side of a toilet stall complete with some eager gent waiting on the other side.

From now on my life has been split in two; before I saw a Glory Hole and after. I was so young in the before-times. So naive. So full of hope.

They're very nice! Definitely worth a try. I hope the flavour sticks around.

Every few years I try Domino's again to make sure my avoidance of them is justified and every time I'm reminded how right I am. Before you think I'm just a pizza snob, I like and semi regularly get Pizza Hut.

I was expecting not to receive my full pay rise this financial year regardless of meeting my performance plan because I haven't been in this particular role for the full financial year.. but I just got an email saying congratulations and that my pay rise is coming through on the next pay run along with backpay from July 1! Yay!!

Sometimes things just work out.

It's just past midday, I'm 20 miles from Vegas and it's hot as fuuuuck. Have a photo of a rock archway I drove under this morning for your troubles.

Holy hell, check this joint out. Just shout out if you want less US travel stuff in this Melbourne forum.

More evidence I'm wasted on these people.. driving from Denver to Moab:

Passing a town called Parachute, "Got some bad news in Parachute.. but luckily they let me down easy"

Nothing.

Passing a town called Cameo, "Nice of this town to make a special appearance!"

Nothing.

Basically a nothing article about how Sally Capp reckons Melbourne would be a good place for a Disneyland Australia, but I thought it might be worth discussion. I personally don't think we (Melbourne) have the right weather for a Disneyland, especially out there. Too windy. Imagine what it'd do to the traffic on the Princes Fwy too..

Anyway.. what do you think? Where in Australia would you put a Disneyland?
