g gundam should have been about a young woman with 7 union dads punching her way through the spacians fucking the earth up with the gundam fight. would have liked it so much more than "domon being shitty to his gf and the most boring fight imaginable every episode"

Honestly, the show probably hits a lot harder if your first exposure to it is when you're like 12 lmao. The early bits aren't great, though.
I've been watching Giant Robo recently, and I'm not even sure if giant robot fights are Imagawa's thing. Most of the cool action set pieces I've seen so far in it are all people fighting lol. His runs of Getter Robo, Tetsujin 28, and Mazinger Z are on the list of things I'm planning to watch in the near future, so maybe I'll change my mind.
