holy shit, that was such a wild chapter. the full double spread was so nutty too.
Egghead has blown away every expectation I've had towards a typical OP arc, it's been pure pedal to the metal
not three chapters ago i was still thinking "wow the luffy v Saturn fight is a crazy way to start going through the five elders, wonder how many more arcs until they're all done." and now they're just literally all there and one of them is even Shai-hulud
The sandworm is the most out of pokect one, I hope Oda watched Dune and just decided it would be cool
honestly, i feel like Oda might have read the Dune series back in the day. this is also the only one that isn't a yokai traditionally.
No it's obviously a reference to the Alaskan Bull Worm from Spongebob
