she keeps the obliviousness even when the other woman keeps saying she loves her and kissing her and bringing up her gay moms and whatnot. and she doesn't even consider she might be gay until VOLUME EIGHT. it took her THREE VOLUMES OF BEING KISSED AND TAKEN ON DATES AND HAVING THEIR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED to realize other people looked at her and thought she was dating toriko.
and then after they actually talk about their relationship they try and fuck and have a bad time before sorawo realizes she just likes to watch toriko. genuinely really moving moment of self realization
uhhh, unjust depths is longer and ongoing, otherside picnic is 8 volumes but they go by very quickly because it's a pretty breezy read. i guess otherside picnic? plus otherside picnic is easier to stop after one volume and start something else, unjust depths has individual volumes but they aren't as cleanly separated, otherside picnic is pretty episodic

light novels. the manga is a good adaptation but when so much of the way otherside picnic works is based in sorawo's pov the ln is definitely the way to go. also the manga is ongoing and is partway through volume 4 of the light novels rn, when the 9th novel is sometime this year
