You did a good job of making those connections with BIG wire. I use enameled wire to make repairs like that. I have rolls on my desk that run from 0.1 mm up to 0.4 mm. You stick the wire in the solder and heat it with your iron until the enamel burns off. It's called a bodge and the wire is called bodge wire.
