I am not going to lie, even if 99.99% of the people on Lemmy are nice, sometimes I feel like we also attract a unique kind of trolls (lemmy.world)

Just wanted to rant a bit as I'm having seeing that happening a bit more and more recently, not only on lemmy.world but also on Lemmy as a whole.

Makes it hard to keep you head cool sometimes, I think it's even harder because I legitimately cannot understand what they are trying to do by being disrespectful.

I guess that comes with being a very niche platform for a very niche population.

I know, I know, but some reasons we seem to get the very bad people, not the average bad ones

The very bad people are also in the other social media sites. It's just that there's so much, so, so, so, so much more people in those platforms, that you don't see them as often.

Having said that, go to an Instagram public post comment section and marvel at the amount of vitriol and idiocy posted there.

Or go to a YouTube comment section and open the replies of the upvoted comments. Usually the upvoted comments are fine. But the replies, man, oh the replies.

Don't get me started with Twitter!
