Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

“We have to come up with some kind of strategy wherein, let’s say, you provide scholarships and then the scholarship agreement includes that you stay three years. After that then they’re free to go,” Marcos said during the Private Sector Advisory Council-Jobs Sector Group (PSAC-Jobs) meeting on Thursday, which was relayed by the Presidential Communications Office through a statement on Friday.

Bro should just out right say that we want you to he a slave to the country for three years before you're free

Officials from PSAC agreed that the local labor market for health care and information technology sectors cannot match the high pay offered in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Europe.

counterpoint those countries have better worker protections and perks (i.e PTO) than what we have here in PH I feel like she is missing the forest for the trees with this one

“I think what we can do is to continue to offer certificate programs and train their skills. I think we can do that. There’s no way for us to retain them,” said Teresita Sy-Coson of SM Investments Corp, who presented the proposals in the meeting on behalf of the PSAC Jobs sector.

certificate programs that we all know the graduate will have to pay for out of pocket how about instead of that you consider worker rights and protections oh wait she is with SM Investments all the 7 hells must freeze before they even think about that

Lol, most people don't want to leave their homeland. The best way to make people stay is by having a stable society with plenty of jobs! But no... corrupt politicians do not invest in their people.

¡WaG iAsA lAhAt Sa GoByErnO!

And of course the government knows this but do not want to fix it because it benefits them to have bobotantes!
