I'm voting DeSantis but your take on Trump not being able to win is a pretty shit take. His supporters have wild eyes for vengeance. Saying he can't win is incredibly short sighted. It seems more like that his inability to win is clear to you because you're focusing into the blackness of the wool over your eyes. At this point Trump is one hell of a formidable opponent.
Of The seven Trump voters in my immediate family and friends list, zero voted for him in 2020. what do you think he has done to change that since then? I have queried them and none of them support him anymore still, quite the opposite, after the insurrection they consider him a traitor, and only one of them is skeptical about the current court cases against him. The rest expect him to go to jail, legitimately.
Among the MAGA crowd, that's certainly true. But he won't get any votes from the Left, none from the Center (including the "undecided"s), and none from quite a few conservatives who appreciate his impressive track record but are ready for someone more electable (DeSantis). So I really don't think he could come close to winning.
