It was also told in an incredibly clumsy way. Matrix 2 and 3 needed more time in the oven before shooting. There's nothing glaringly bad aside from some cgi but it's a case of everything needing just a bit of fine tuning. They felt very loose and rushed at the same time and it was hard to ground yourself in the movies as an audience member, no one is relatable at this point. There's good stuff there but the execution needed tightening pretty much everywhere.
I don't even really dislike the movies, it's just very easy to see what's weak about them and it's more frustrating because they're pretty clearly due to not having enough time and I can see better movies within them thst just didn't have the time to fully coagulate. Matrix 4 fucking ruled tho
Also it made people I don't like angry
I do kinda mean that in a less petty way than I would for most movies cause I'm pretty sure it was the main reason it was even made
