Simply put, I feel that this comm as lost all purpose.

There is no longer discussions on Marxist theory because of the establishment of c/theory.

There is no longer discussions on Marxist history because of the establishment of c/history.

This is not a critique of those comms as they are well enjoyed comms but a critique of this comm and myself as it has over the past two years steadily stagnated into irrelevance.

With that in mind, I want to hear from anyone on how to revitalize this comm, whether they wish to join the mod team to change its structure, or outright close the comm to put it out of its misery.

I think this could be a community that aims at politically organizing the users of Hexbear on IRL marxist orgs. Or, in the very least, a center for resources on organizing.

For example, next week is march 8th. Orgs all around the world are currently planning events and wondering how they can get more people to join. This site full progressive, marxist-inclined young people with varying degrees of political experience will, at most, be exposed to a post or two about the women's struggle in general, and then it's march 9th. There is a lot of energy, but it starts and dies here.

We could be developing techniques for transferring that energy into getting people to join or even start real life orgs, campaigns and parades, calling events, coopting lib events with left-wing speeches etc. I can also imagine an art comm were people can request help with agitprop for certain stuff.

This site's widespread culture of stimulating reading marxist theory and of bullying lib behavior is a great indication of the potential we have, IMO. All we need is to add IRL organizing to that culture.

Edit: and although we should avoid too many specifics, we could be a great center for help on recruiting strategies, agitprop, theory etc without the risk of any doxxing.
