I would guess 8/10 Americans never think about what the world thinks of them.

In general, why should I care about what the rest of the world thinks of my country? Why would I care what another individual thinks of me personally? I'm always baffled when someone cares so much what other people think of them.

I dunno, it just seems hypocritical in this particular instance for your country to have been all up in arms about ISIS only to turn around and do shit that they would applaud. Makes you look… untrustworthy, to the world at large.

You don't really understand how soft diplomacy works do you? There are distinct advantages to economic conditions if countries shake hands. If you slap somebody they will find ways to slap you back.
